Our program featured the ever-popular Students of the Month program. Four high school seniors were selected to receive the $200 award which comes with a certificate and permanent recognition in their respective schools. Program Chair Mark Haldaman presented awards to:
January: Kayla Moitui, Easton - Kayla is in the AP Honors program at Easton and plays basketball and volleyball. She is active in choir and helped organize two food drives. She participated in a global outreach program traveling to Africa to help with a school. She plans to attend a 4- year college and pursue a career in pediatric medicine.
February: Mary McFarland, Notre Dame - Mary participates in KEY Club, Art Club, Crusaders For Life, and German Club. She is VP of the National Honor Society and the National Language Honor Society. She was court captain of the volleyball team and named to the PIAA All State team for the past two years. She volunteers with the Miracle League and St. Luke’s Hospital. She plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh and major in neuroscience before attending medical school.
March: Chloe Park, Wilson - Chloe loves performing music and that’s a good thing because she is in a remarkable amount of bands including marching, jazz, county, and pep. She is captain of the debate team and serves as Secretary for the National Honor Society. She is a teacher’s assistant at a Korean School, helped with a Thanksgiving Day food drive, and volunteered on a mission to Mexico. She wants to earn a 4-year college degree and pursue a career in dermatology.
April: Anthoney Morales, CIT - This Easton senior is in the health related technology program at the Career Institute of Technology. He participates in Skills USA and is a Pennsylvania State award winner in first aid. He is a blood drive volunteer and has clinical outside experiences at an Abington facility. He is active with HOSA which is a student organization dealing with health related technology. He loves to help people and plans to attend Northampton Community College and become a registered nurse.
