Our program featured the popular Students of the Month program. Chair Mark Haldaman presented awards to two local high school seniors. Two other award winners were not present. The students receive a small plaque that will be permanently displayed in their school as well as a certificate and a $200 check. The award winners were:
April: Sofia Vinci - Easton Area High School.
May: Gregorio Macchia - Notre Dame High School. Gregorio is a member of the National Honor Society and the National Language Honor Society. He is active in KEY Club and the Yearbook Staff. He lays Soccer and participates ion THON. He is an Altar Server and a Vacation Bible School Leader.
June: Clancy Crozier - CIT, Easton High Area High School. Clancy is in the CAD program at CIT. He is a member of the National Honor Society. He is in the Marching Band and a member of the High School Robotics Club. He recently completed his Eagle Scout project which included a patio, benches, and bird houses near the St. Luke’s Anderson campus. He plans to attend Wilkes University and study Mechanical Engineering.
July: Anish Kanduri - Wilson Area High School. Anish has had an incredibly active school career. He is in the National Honor Society, Student Council, and the Debate Club. He plays soccer and Track and Field. He is in the Ski Club and helped form the Table Tennis Club. He plays in the Jazz and Concert Bands. In his spare time, he managed to accrue over 400 volunteer hours in the MRI department at St. Luke’s Hospital. He also spends 10-11 hours every week serving as a tutor to younger students. He plans to study Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
