Updated: May 25

Easton Rotary Service Foundation presented its 2024 Grant Awards to:

Easton Area Community Center - $3,000: The ECC will partner with the Shanti Project this year to add a social and emotional wellness component to their summer camp.

Shanti  Project  -  $1,000:  This  will  help  the  organization  update  their technological program materials. Specifically providing their in-class child mindfulness instructors with a laptop for program curriculum delivery to at- risk diverse community school children in the Easton Area School District.

Kellyn Foundation - $5,000: this will help support their Lehigh Valley Lifestyle  Medicine  Symposium  scheduled  for  July  13.  Life  expectancy numbers have been dropping here in The Lehigh Valley. Kellyn believes that a little education can help turn those numbers around. More information can be found at www.lvlifestylemedicine.org.

ProJeCt  of  Easton  -  $5,000:  This will help support their school-based Summer  SIZZLE  program.  The  program  provides  fun  activities  and encourages students to read so their reading skills don’t backslide during the summer break.

Easton YMCA - $7,500: The popular community-based Pop Up And Play program was in peril as some of the funding ended. The program travels to many locations around town providing meals, snacks, games, education, and nutrition information. Our contribution will enable the Y to keep some of those community sites open.

Foundation Chairman Paul Braden commented that during the past 40 years, Easton Rotary has contributed over $1,000,000 to our community.
