About our Club

The first meeting in Easton to consider the organization of a Rotary Club was held on the evening of December 6, 1914 at Seip’s Cafe, when eight Eastonians met a delegation of nine Rotarians from Allentown. They explained the ideas and ideals of Rotary and urged those present to form a club for Easton. About a week later a meeting was held in the office of Luther B. Anthony with more input from the Allentown club.

On February 11, 1915 twenty-seven people interested in becoming Rotarians gathered at the Hotel Huntington. A club was organized and application was made for a charter, which was presented at a meeting held on May 20, 1915. The Rotary Club of Easton was off and running!

During the Rotary year 2015-16 we are proud to celebrate 100 years of providing service to our community. In honor of this occasion we have pledged an anniversary gift of $100,000 to purchase a truck and trailer for the Mobile “Healthy Food” Market project. On Thursday, October 15, 2015 we met at Northampton Country Club for a Gala Dinner and Program.
